After an impressive stretch to start the New Year, The Flames reminded all of us why the fire sale should (and hopefully will) be on. Don Maloney claimed the All-Star break would be a key inflection point moving forward...so will it be? At the break, the Flames sit in the bottom third in the league with all signs pointing to them being a bottom feeder. Time to sell.

Elias Lindholm? Sell. Chris Tanev? Sell. Jacob Markstrom? SELL! Everything must go.

We asked Craig Conroy to sell, sell, sell and boy...did he deliver! The Flames and Vancouver Canucks came together on a blockbuster deal that saw the good guys in red acquire Andrei Kuzmenko (the Kuzmeister), Hunter Brzustewicz, Joni Jurmo, a first-round draft pick, and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in exchange for Elias Lindholm.

We're breaking down the mega deal and pondering what comes next as the Flames inch closer to the trade deadline.

The vibes have been quite immaculate recently as the Flames have been on a nice roll despite all the uncertainty and rumours swirling. Today we're breaking down road 3-1 road trip and diving into the Jacob Markstrom trade rumors. Who knows what the future holds but as of right now: IN CONNY WE TRUST.

The Flames continued to bring us along for the rollercoaster ride following up a three-game slump (featuring ugly losses to San Jose and Detroit) with a nice winning streak topping some of the league's best clubs (Winnipeg, Boston, and the Greasers).

Today we're breaking down the Battle of Alberta (finally featuring some actual battling!) and basking in the glow of whooping the Oilers for a change.

Our hero Miikka Kiprusoff was immortalized with number 34 going to the rafters of the Dome rightfully alongside Jarome Iginla, Mike Vernon, and Lanny McDonald. The Flames looked like they were going to lay an egg on Kipper's night but Nazem Kadri, Yegor Sharangovich, and Blake Coleman had other ideas as the Flames stormed back with an epic third-period comeback to beat the Penguins.

Today we're reflecting on Kipper, 2004, and breaking down the five-game roll the Flames are currently on despite all the trade rumours.

Go Flames Go.

In his first year on the job, Craig Conroy stuck to his word and moved out five pending UFAs. Call it a rebuild, call it a retool, call it rekindle, call it a re-anything you want: Craig has the team moving in a new direction.

Today, we're breaking down the cultural shift in Calgary, how the team can mould a new identity, and discussing the aftermath of the Noah Hanifin trade and the Jacob Markstrom non-trade.

The Flames continued their streaky ways with wins over the Vegas Golden Knights and Montreal Canadiens after getting embarrassed by the Avs and Hurricanes last week. Dustin Wolf made his triumphant return starting and winning both matches (and making it look pretty easy).

Today we're breaking down Wolf's impressive performances and focusing on the leadership of Mikael Backlund, Blake Coleman, and Nazem Kadri.

Alright, boys. There's not a ton going on in Flames land these days. The season is pretty much over for all intents and purposes...so today we're breaking down what we'd like to see down the mostly meaningless stretch drive. We wanna see Matt Coronato, as much of Dustin Wolf as humanly possible, and how Ryan Huska is (or isn't) setting the table for next season.

Plus, we're looking at the future of Andrew Mangiapane, Jacob Markstrom, Rasmus Andersson and previewing what awaits the Flames in the UFA market in the off-season.

Andrei Kuzmenko put on a show this as the Flames new look line combos seem to have sparked some chemistry between Kuzmenko, Marty Pospisil, & Nazem Kadri this week. Today we're breaking down where the Flames are at heading into the tank...errrr...stretch drive.

On today's agenda:

  • How Kuzy could be a very valuable piece for this team moving forward
  • Breaking down what we've seen from the new line combos (loving that Connor Zary, Matt Coronato connection so far)
  • Looking at Brayden Pachal, Joel Hanley, and Daniil Miromanov's strong play
  • The surprisingly impactful season of Martin Pospisil
  • Tij Iginla talk

We're breaking down another week in the loss column for the Flames as the boys suffered setbacks at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks, Winnipeg Jets and the greasy, no good, neckbearded Edmonton Oilers.

It's all in service of the tank though, boys. On the agenda today:

  • Our frustrations with the Connor Zary scratch and the lack of playing time for both Matt Coronato and Dustin Wolf
  • Trying to figure out what Ryan Huska is aiming to accomplish with the late season roster decisions
  • Enjoying Yegor Sharangovich's surprise 30 goal campaign
  • Jumping on the Tij Iginla train (all aboard!)

Have a great week, buddies. Go Flames Go.

The end is nigh. Andrei Kuzmenko and Nazem Kadri are giving us some entertaining hockey BUT boy...I think we are ready for the draft and off-season.

Today we're just breaking down some various topics in Flames land and digging into what's next for Conroy and this re-tool or retool or whatever it's being called.

Quick programming note: this episode was recorded prior to the Arizona Coyotes game.

The boys cleaned out their lockers and headed their separate ways for the summer this past weekend as the Flames missed the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 2014.

We're breaking down comments from Mack Weegar, Blake Coleman, and others but really focusing on Craig Conroy's exit interview and his suggestion that the Flames will follow the 'Dallas Model'
