What is the definition of success?

NHL stars?

Gold (medals) in WCH (Olympics)?

For me it would be to have the players that we can go to any of those tournaments and be really competitive. For years WC/OG really started for us in QF, now they end for us there.

You can get medal thanks to hot goalie, you can have star (Kopitar, Draisaitl) without being top hockey nation....but what should separate us from nations outside of TOP 6 (now more like TOP 5) is depth of great hockey players, so we can ice competitive teams every year. We could ice different team every year and win medal, now we have to wait for right teams to get eliminated from playoffs to even have a chance.

Edit: The problem right now is that our players usually develop outside the system or despite of it. We can have star players without our junior hockey being fixed, we can even win medals, but we will never have the depth of players top nation should have
