I wonder if they'll start signing players with Bologna and loaning them to IMFC to reduce effects on the salary cap. Does that even work?

If they loan them for free and Bologna pays part of the salary it could work, otherwise the transfer fees would count against the budget.

Let's say a guy makes 700k in salary, but his 3 year loan had a transfer fee of 2M. His salary against the cap becomes 700k + 2M/3 = 700k + 666K = 1.366M

I think there's only so much of that money they can use towards the roster. MLS rules. But they can definitely land a nice piece.
