I don't think he would get into the lineup. It doesn't seem like this is a Vegas need unless he could play 4C.

GMs can't help themselves when they see an opportunity to shed poorly spent salary. The salary cap today helps these expansion teams almost as much as the more lenient draft rules do.

Yup. It looks like he's headed to Toronto, but signing in Vegas would seem to be just a chance to give Gusev another Russian teammate (besides Zykov) in training camp.
