Also, if anyone is interested in looking at the IIHF Rankings after each year since they started it in 2002 (ie, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005), click here.

Finally, keep in mind that the IIHF World Championships carries equal weight as the Olymipics in determining the Final 2006 rankings (which will be released following the World Championships in May). So a country that does poorly here in Turin and make up for it with a strong showing in Latvia in May.
