That 2nd line doesn't look too good. Willy has great chemistry with Matthews, and Marner with Kadri...but Marner with Tavares might even be more lethal...I wouldn't trade Willy for either of those 2 guys.

no. keep nylander. we're getting ozhiganov in the summer. then once hainsey/gardiner are gone after next year, liljegren can step in. i think one of borgman/rosen should pan out as well. sign a vet dman (if needed) for cheap in the summer of 2019 and we're good to go.

No. You run with the strengths of the team. Nylander, Marner, Matthews and Tavares on the same team? You keep that. Rielly has taken the next step. Dermott's stats are downright elite in his usage. Hainsey has been good. Liljegren still developing. You play D by committee and run with the best offensive core in the league (comparable to Pittsburgh but one extra elite player).

The Leafs have some excellent young dmen and I trust Hunter to find some more.
Besides, strong teams get strong ufas so I'd like to see how that plays out as well

Idk maybe I'm different. I'm not envious of the teams that have 1 guy n then a couple so so players. I'm envious of teams with a solid 1 to 6 core which is what I see being built.
