I'd like to have the gameday up and finished ASAP :)

With Clarkson out, I'm going to assume Raymond's taking his spot.
I've got Colborne on the 4th line (wing), Ashton third line with Bolland, and Orr next to Mcclement.

I see Rielly up.

so we're looking at

Kessel-Bozak-JVR
Lupul-Kadri-Raymond
Kulemin-Bolland-Ashton
Colborne-McClement-Orr

Phaneuf-Gunnarson
Ranger-Gardiner
Franson-Fraser
Rielly

Reimer

yes?
no?

I feel like Kulemin might be on the 2nd line. Lupul/Kadri/Kulemin was a good line for a little while last year.

Also I feel like Devane might start the year on the 4th line not Colborne. Obviously that would be tough to do today with our current cap situation having 15 forwards on the roster(I don't think we dump Colborne on waivers) but I would argue that if today was October 1st then McLaren might be out long enough to actually go on LTIR so we could fit Colborne in as an extra forward and play Devane.

I don't think Rielly starts out as a 7th D. If we take him into the season with us I think he'll be in the lineup in game 1. Maybe Fraser drops out, Habs aren't that tough, with Devane/Orr he isn't a necessity for fighting or anything

Against the beefed up smurfs? Possibly.

For sure. If Rielly stays for his 9 games, he'll be getting primo minutes and PP time while he's here.

All I know is that Randy Carlyle would be assistant coach.

In your nightmares
the way I'd like to see it...

Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
JVR - Kadri - Raymond
Kulemin - Bolland - Ashton
Colborne - McClement - Orr

***after the 10 game mark, Clarkson fits in for Raymond who then replaces Ashton***
I'd like to see Colborne get a shot but he might be bumped for a goon like devane or broll

Phaneuf - Gunns
Franson - Gardiner
Ranger - Fraser

Liles

Reimer
Bernier

As per CBA, (IIRC) LTIR = > 9 games missed or 1 calendar month whichever comes first.

For those saying that if Rielly is up he will be in the lineup, that may not be the case. I could see us doing something similar to what (I think it was Carolina) did with Murphy. They kept him up for 9 games but didn't play him. Just wanted to show him what the NHL routine was like.

Colborne gone. Probably Devane on the 4th line now. Or Broll.

Off chance Leivo gets 3rd line while Ashton goes on the 4th after tonight but probably not
