It has been a great rookie class so far this season. And it seems that many of the better ones have been on teams with multiple good first-year players.

If there was an award for the best rookie combination of teammates, who would get your vote?

ANA: Carlsson/Mintyukov
ARI: Cooley/Kesserling
BOS: Poitras/Lohrei
CBJ: Fantilli/Voronkov
CHI: Bedard/Korchinski
MIN: Faber/Rossi
NJD: Hughes/Nemec
PHI: Brink/Foerster

Faber and Rossi are 2nd and 3rd in rookie scoring. Scoring isn't everything, but its enough to make them the correct choice.

This is a debate over who the second best rookie pair is. Faber/Rossi are definitely number one. Bedard is maybe the best individual, but I wouldn't take Korchinski over pretty much anyone else for Calder. And then distant third in this exercise to any of Anaheim, Columbus, or New Jersey, which seems to be borne out by the voting results as well.

Easy choice for me with Faber and Rossi. voted.

I'd also love to see Zary and Pospisil as an option though, they deserve some recognition and have formed 2/3rds of the Flames second (or third) line completely resurrecting Kadri in Calgary in the process.

It would be Bedard and Vlasic for Chicago which would win out. Vlasic looks like the heir to Hammer. Poll is dragging us down by throwing in Korchinski instead. Don't get me wrong he still has a lot of promise but still raw.

Technically Vlasic isn't a rookie due to games played from previous seasons.

Faber and Rossi

Korchinski is REALLY dragging down Bedards chances of winning this poll
Bedard is very used to being dragged down by his teammates by now to be fair.

This is Faber and Rossi and there really isn’t an argument for anyone else. Just an insane year for rookies, most years you would be able to say the same for the seasons Carlsson/Mintyukov and Hughes/Nemec are having, but not this one. The fact New Jersey has 2 rookie defenseman playing ~20 minutes a night and a ~40 point pace but may not even have a Calder finalist is hilarious.
