It is intersting to look at the forwards that were at the 2004 World junior Championships, during the 03-04 NHL season. You had:

Jeff Carter
Mike Richards
Anthony Stewart
Ryan Getzlaf
Brent Burns
Nigel Dawes
Daniel Paille
Tim Brent
Jeremy Colliton
Sidney Crosby
Jeff Tambellini
Stephen Dixox
Maxime Talbot

If the following NHL forwards were also available due due to the hypothetical lockout you would have: Rick Nash, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Patrice Bergeron, Nathan Horton, and Eric Staal. What would the team have looked like then, pick between those 18 and how they would have put the lines together you think.

Umm Sidney Crosby was on the FOURTH line even without these players, do you remember this. Yet with the stronger team he would be advanced to the first line? My only thought of him was whether he would have even made the team or not.
