If the HHOF worked like Cooperstown, would Al MacInnis be inducted as a Flame or as a Blue?

His best year was as a flame, but he won his only Norris as a blue and has his number retired by them tough call.

I agree that the player should be able to choose if he excelled with2 franchises

Made his name & won in CGY, won his only Norris in STL.

Thats a tough one, although Cooperstown usually values championships above individual awards.

I think of him more as a Flame but - no idea.

It's crazy to think of how much talent was in Alberta back then and the exodus - as by '90-'92 most of the NHL had a marquee player on their payroll from one of those two teams.

He’s only been a Blue for as long as I can remember and is still here in the front office.

My guess is St. Louis if he had to pick, but I’d guess he’d probably go in without a team

I would say him working with the Blues still after his career probably pushes him more towards the Blues overall. But honestly, I'd let him decide if this were the case.

it's kinda nuts how long players used to be RFAs

MacInnis played 803 regular season games plus Playoffs over 11 seasons(plus a handful of games in 2 other seasons) and was apparently STILL an RFA when he left Calgary
