If the expansion draft occurred during a year with an amazing draft class like 2015?

I can say 2015 will probably go down as one of the best drafts of all time. McDavid, Eichel, Marner, and Hanifin all in the top 5?? Not to mention the rest of the first round that for the most part will be a big part of their teams future.

SO would McPhee most likely have to settle on what teams were leaving unprotected because GM's would want to hold onto 1st & 2nd round picks? How would each team's of protected lists would be different if 2017 was as good of a draft as 2015?
