If Liverpool still finds a way to bottle it,

19 point lead in the standings to City.

Haven't lost a single match this season, only 2 points out of maximum.

Liverpool can loose 6 matches in a row, City win 6 matches in a row and
still Liverpool wins the premier league title.

More points what Man Utd (5th) & Tottenham (6th) combined.

More points what Bournemouth (18th), Watford (19th) & Norwich (20th) combined.

Better GD what Leicester's (3rd) & Chelsea's (4th) combined GD.

More wins what West Ham (17th), Bournemouth (18th), Watford (19th) & Norwich (20th) combined.

- the list goes on and on

---

I don't think its gonna happen.

Ya, it’s not going to happen. Even if City go completely perfect the rest of the season, Liverpool could go 8W and 6L in their remaining games and still secure the title. Liverpool has lost 1 game in their past 61 league games. They aren’t going to lose 7 of the next 14. The league is done. Over. Liverpool is the new champion of England. The only question left is just how historic this season will actually be. They should break the single season points record with ease.

Nah. Birmingham - Arsenal League Cup final 2011 would still be the one.

I still think it had to be Portugal losing the Euro 2004 final to Greece on home soil with a star studded team

Yes, if Liverpool manage to bottle this it would be the greatest choke job in the history of sports.

Also if Manchester United make a miracle run to a title it would be the greatest comeback in history.

Both have about the same chance of happening.

If Arsenal win out, we only need Liverpool to go 0-1-13 to pass them

It won’t happen (unfortunate) but yeah that would probably break them. The club would never recover from that. They’ll end up as the new Sunderland. How lovely it would be. But no it won’t happen.

It's extremely unlikely to happen, but bear in mind that Borussia Dortmund under Klopp went W12L2D3 in the 2nd half of the 2013-14 season, beating Bayern 3-0 in April, made the Cup Final (which they only lost to Bayern in ET) and of course gave Real Madrid a real close fight in the CL QFs that spring.

They then seemingly out of nowhere proceeded to go W4L10D3 in the 1st half of the 2014-15 season, finishing the calendar year at 17th in the table. Klopp agreed to resign at the end of the year and the rest is history.

Now obviously that was quite different because there was a summer break in the middle where they lost their perhaps best ever striker and replaced him with a moody Italian who never settled (and also just is a notably worse player than Lewandowski on skill etc alone). But still the team was considered a certain bet for 2nd place at least in the league. Nobody saw that horrid 1st half coming. They went winless between the middle of September and early November. That was almost as shocking as Liverpool losing the title now would be.

Again, I don't think it's gonna happen this time but it's just interesting that the manager in charge has experienced an unexpected, in some ways difficult to explain, nearly total collapse before at a club where he looked to be set - beloved by fans and media, mates with his bosses, basically unfireable.

He also won 2 titles before this collapse.

They could not game a single point the rest of the way and still finish 4th, maybe even 3rd. Title is over.
