Simple question. Vote yes or no and say what team you’re responding on behalf of.

Price is 33 years old, has 5 more years at a cap hit of $10.5mil per season. His last 4 seasons he has a sv% of .909 and GAA of 2.75.

No team would claim him. Nobody's even claiming players that cost far less for far shorter terms. NHL teams are in full cheapo mode right now.

No team would be able to claim him. He’s definitely worth the spot on the team but no team can afford it.

What about re entry waivers? Is that still Montreal retaining 50% of his salary/cap hit? If so, it becomes an interesting discussion then.

Nobody had cap space

As others have already said. No team is looking for a soon to be 34yr old $10.5m goalie whose best games are likely behind him with still another 5 years left on his contract. This deal is an anchor to any team trying to contend.

The hawks could claim anyone, I believe, due to massive amounts of LTIR money. Then they’d have to figure out what they are doing before next year begins. Unless there is something I’m not aware of.

No. I'm content with the Kings' version of an inconsistent goalie, nowadays, that used to be great in the form of Quick. At least, he has two years left and $4.7M cheaper than Price.
