Games on Thursday:

Vienna vs Innsbruck 5-4
The home team started decent enough and went ahead 3-1 in the first period. In the second period they took the foot off the gas. The hard-working Innsbruck side took over and made it 3-3. In the last period, Vienna played with a lot more intensity and edged out the win.
Highlights

Fehervar vs Villach 1-2
After their impressive showing against Klagenfurt, Villach were back to looking rather harmless again. They controlled the puck, but weren't able to do much with it. They still got three points against a struggling Fehervar team, though that wasn't enough for their coach: Dan Ceman was finally sent packing.
Highlights

Games on Friday:

Fehervar vs Innsbruck 4-5 SO
A bittersweet game for Innsbruck. Against a tired opponent, they were the more active and dangerous party and racked up a 4-1 lead that should have been enough for 3 points. But defensive blunders cost them again and they allowed Fehervar to make it 4-4. In the end they needed the SO to seal it.

Linz vs Klagenfurt 0-4
Another game, another defeat for Linz. KAC controlled the game in the first period and went up 2-0. Then they took it easy and Linz got a few chances, but didn't capitalize on them. In the last period, Klagenfurt made it 3-0 and put the game out of hand. The final goal was an empty-netter.

Graz vs Salzburg 3-4 SO
The home team had the better for 40 minutes and got a 3-1 lead. Salzburg looked rather flat, but bounced back in the last period and tied the game. They won the SO, but can't be happy with their overall performance.

Games on Saturday:

Vienna vs Bolzano 3-2
First defeat for Bolzano in a long time! A hard-fought and intense game. In the second period it looked like Bolzano might take over, but Vienna never gave in.

Bratislava vs Dornbirn 1-4
Another home game that Bratislava had to play away. The home right didn't help them though: Dornbirn was defensively solid and effective offensively.

Games on Sunday:

Graz vs Bolzano 1-2
Second difficult away-game for Bolzano in two days. Another close affair. Graz played well again and still lost one more time. Five defeats in a row now for them without looking really bad.

Villach vs Linz 1-4
A rare victory for Linz. Villach was underwhelming again and Linz showed some spirit. Of course it was the duo of Brian Lebler (3 goals) and Dragan Umicevic (3 assists) that did the scoring for Linz. VSV will be very happy when new coach Rob Daum arrives.
Highlights

Dornbirn vs Bratislava 3-2
Second consecutive game between the two teams played in Dornbirn and this time Dornbirn really had the home right. They controlled the game again, though the result was a bit closer. Let's see what new coach Draisaitl can do in Bratislava.

Dornbirn played Bratislava, not Bolzano. But thanks for your nice coverage of the league

With the ECHL barely running this year, lots of North American's will be looking for work. Plenty of players will be squeezed out of jobs.

Games yesterday:

Linz vs Fehervar 1-4
Poor Linz: like in the game against Villach, they gave an effort and player rather well, but Fehervar shut down their only scoring line and were clinical with their own scoring opportunities.

Innsbruck vs Bolzano 2-5
Bolzano wasted no time against the defensively messy hosts and raced to a 5-2 lead within the first 20 minutes. The rest of the game the pace remained decent, but Bolzano didn't push too aggressively anymore and Innsbruck on their part didn't have the means to hurt the visitors.

Villach vs Bratislava 4-6
Another setback for Villach. They had more of the game, but didn't shoot enough, were weak defensively again and got shaky goaltending. Result: First win for new Bratislava coach Peter Draisaitl with his rather limited side.

Game yesterday:

Graz vs Salzburg 2-5
Sixth consecutive defeat in a row for Graz! (But they also had two ties in their last four games which ended with SO-defeats.) After fallin behind 1-2 in the first period, Graz dominated the second period and created plenty of chances, but failed to score any goal while Salzburg, despite being outplayed, scored twice! In the last period Salzburg controlled the game and brought the victory home. Subpar defending by Graz and goaltending made the difference.

Games today:

Innsbruck vs Linz
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Linz has played better lately, so a closer match than the last time (5-1 Innsbruck) is in the cards. The home team has enough offensively ability to score here, but their defence is erratic. The key question is: will Innsbruck be able to contain Brian Lebler & Dragan Umicevic?
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Villach vs Fehervar
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Last game for Villach under stand-in coach Marco Pewal. The team will be without Michael Raffl too. Villach should have the puck a lot, but both scoring and defending are concerns while Fehervar is clinical. A win by the visitors wouldn't surprise anybody.

Games on Thursday:

Innsbruck vs Linz 6-3
For two periods it was a close game. Innsbruck went ahead 2-0, Linz bounced back and made it 2-2. Second period: one goal each. Third period: Linz was out of gas and Innsbruck scored three unanswered goal to turn a 3-3 into a 6-3.
Highlights

Villach vs Fehervar 2-5
Yet another let-down for Villach in their last game under stand-in coach Marco Pewal. Once again they had more of the game but weren't enough of a scoring threat. Fehervar let them do the work and capitalized on their chances as usual.

Games on Friday:

Bratislava vs Klagenfurt 1-3
A low-event game in which a defensive-first KAC side did a bit better than limited Bratislava team.

Dornbirn vs Salzburg 2-3 OT
A close game in which Dornbirn had an edge, but didn't capitalize enough. In the end the game was tied 2-2 and Salzburg won it in OT. Dornbirn's PP is still far from where it should be.

Bolzano vs Linz 4-0
Top team vs bottom dweller. In the first period Bolzano overwhelmed Linz completely, but after a quick 1-0 goal they failed to score another one even though they had tons of chances. From the second period on, Linz played a decent game. The score remained 1-0 for a long time. In the last period, Bolzano finally sealed the game with two unanswered goals and a final empty-netter.

Games on Saturday:

Bolzano vs Vienna 2-3 SO
Another very close game between the two top teams in the league. First game for new Vienna goaltender Calvin Pickard. Vienna played a very good first period and went ahead 1-0, afterwards Bolzano had more of the game but Vienna kept it close enough to grind out a tie. No goals in OT and Vienna won in the SO.

Fehervar vs Graz 5-4
Graz missed a great chance to end their losing streak, but they can't be faulted for not trying and they have injuries of their own now. They score enough, but their defensive shortcomings keep costing them.

Innsbruck vs Villach 5-2
Going into the game, Villach looked much better under their new coach Rob Daum. They were ahead 2-1 after the first period. Then Innsbruck took over and turned the game around.

Games on Sunday:

Salzburg vs Vienna 1-4
Two teams on winnings runs, but Salzburg with a short bench due to new Covid cases. Vienna worked out a deserved 1-0 lead in the first period and was the better team, but took five penalties against one. Salzburg scored one on the PP, but none at even strength. After two periods the score was 3-1 Vienna and in the end they added an empty-net goal.

Klagenfurt vs Bratislava 2-3
Bratislava with improved forechecking in their third game under coach Draisaitl. A tight game overall which was decided when KAC backup goaltender David Madlener let a shot from far range catch him by surprise. On the side of Bratislava, Mitch Hults and Filip Ahl combined for two goals.

Game on Monday:

Graz vs Innsbruck 4-6
Eight defeat in a row for Graz! Neither team played particularly well, but the difference was that Innsbruck made good use of its chances and went ahead 0-2. In the second period they even made it 0-4. All four goals were produced by Innsbruck's first line (Ciampini, Christoffer, Sideroff). Then Graz finally showed some teeth and turned a 0-4 into a 3-4. But they also conceded a fifth goal. In the last period, Graz kept attacking and Innsbruck (with their #1 center Braden Christoffer out midway through the game with an injury) barely held on. An empty-net goal sealed their win.

Game today:

Bolzano vs Klagenfurt
19:45 CET = 13:45 EST
KAC is in for a tough match with a few injuries. They're facing the best roster of the league away from home.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Meanwhile Salzburg vs Dornbirn (today) and Salzburg vs Innsbruck (tomorrow) have been cancelled resp. posponed due to a new Covid outbreak among the Salzburg players.

While if I understand correctly, Graz forward Parker MacKay retires at the age 26 after what becomes a career-ending hit in the game against Szeke.. Well, the Hungarian team.

Unfortunately that's true. He was slammed head-first into the board from behind and I don't understand how the Fehervar player got away with a one game suspension. Video here: 201212 Ice Verdict Geiger

Graz have signed a replacement:

Game yesterday:

Bolzano vs Klagenfurt 2-3 OT
Best game by KAC so far this season. They skated hard, played with intensity and got a deserved 1-0 lead in the first period. Early in the second period they made it 2-0 on the PP. Afterwards Bolzano took control of the game. Klagenfurt, playing with three lines kept fighting, couldn't prevent them from tying the game despite fighting hard, but the 2-2 tie after 60 minutes was already a very respectable achievement. And in the overtime they scored the winning goal right away to earn two unexpected points.

Game today:

Vienna vs Villach
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
The home team is the clear favourite here, but Villach showed flashed of improvement in their last game – the first game under Rob Daum. Let's see what he can do with the team.

Well I live in a country that has a ICE HL team (Italy), but I cannot view them:
