He'll bring a solid beard game.

In his heyday, he could his own as physical presence on the second pair. His best stretch of play was next to either Ben Lovejoy or Justin Schultz (both RHD) during the Pens' run to the Cup in 2016. At this point, he's better off playing on the bottom pair.





EDIT: and apparently he fights with a shield. So he should be docked points for that.

There are only about 80 defensemen in the history of the game that have a better career plus minus than Cole. The only reason he didn't see more ice with the Avs or the Wild was on the coaching not the player. You will be happy with what you get but most happy in the playoffs. Dude is a warrior come playoffs.
