I wonder if Ian Anderson is tracking Coburn and AMac's futility as a pairing? I would suspect he is. But like Berube said....this is not rocket science and the eye test should be enough thus far to suggest the pairing is a bad idea! Yet they remain a pair. We'll see going forward if it continues as such...

Well, I don't see anything wrong in what he said from his standpoint. You don't want to make it your goal to improve stats like Corsi, but rather to play in a way that correspondingly does lead to their improvement. The causality is still such that the play is reflected in the stats, rather than the other way around.
