I was taking my dad to the docs at Jeff and he was walking across the parking lot when I recognized him. Nice guy. He either said hopefully we'll have a season in a little while or we aren't going to have a season for a while. I was helping my dad in the car and the radio was going so it was hard to hear him.:handclap:

I want to be the first to thank you for either alerting us of an NHL season shortly or warning us of no NHL hockey for quite a while... I'll use that insider info to update my planer. :sarcasm:

But seriously... Thursday afternoon I finally got around to dropping my Giroux Winter Classic jersey off at the Voorhees Skate Zone to have a Keystone A sewn on... as I was driving in front of the entrance door to get to the far end of the lot, I saw a hairy dude with his hair tied up wearing an orange t-shirt and shorts moseying in front of me to go inside... Rather than speed up to get by before he got near me I politely stopped to let him cross... He smiled and waived thanks. I parked and entered and inside I saw him stopped by a few young boys who he chatted with and allowed them to take Cell-Phone pictures with him. He was his usual friendly self.

Of course it was Hartnell... I was happy to see him wearing Flyers gear which I don't believe was inside out. I assume he was going to use the facilities that he paid for using.

... I miss NHL hockey. <sigh>

Was he purchasing more leeches at the time?

Shows you his staying power....

One anecdotal 2nd hand episode I have to report with McCrony is when my friend was getting PT at the Vincera institute for a core goalie injury...said he saw McCrossin working on some of the Flyers and Neuvirth walked in...he groaned and complained to the guy he was doing PT on about how he was always injured or complaining about injuries. Thought it precious. I mean Neuvirth was definitely a walking ambulance but I am sure he did nothing to help the dude and probably made him worse considering he talked behind his back loud enough for my buddy to hear him...

I had a procedure on my shoulder for tendonitis at Vincera.

It didn't work.

Everything McCrossin touches turns to shit.

Curiously that does not include the Flyers longest tenured and least injured player, Claude Giroux, who has the fourth most GP in the league since he became a full time NHLer in 09-10.

I saw Jim McCrossin at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
