1) Flaming: Do not post any messages that harass, insult (name calling), belittle, threaten or mock other members. Debates are fine, but critique the opinion, not the person. Personal attacks are not permitted. Do not call other posters trolls. Do not use sweeping generalizations and plural pronouns to cloak personal attacks. For example if a poster(s) states that he thinks 'x' is a good idea, replying that "Anyone who supports 'x' is an idiot" is a personal attack. Do not start threads to call out and embarrass other members. We do not permit any forums to be used to demean/insult the fans of other teams. This is viewed as generalized flaming.

OK, so I asked you guys to PM me, not berate me here in the forum and make fun of my situation. I thought this forum was civilized and sensible. I am quite disappointed.

Steve

There are much better places to go than the lounge and ask random people, this is probably one of the worst places you can go to for serious advice because of some of the ******** posters here. Good luck with your situation though being cheated on is terrible, especially if you and your wife have 3 kids

16) Playing the Role of Moderator: You're not a moderator so don't correct posters as if you were a moderator. If a thread or post violates the rules, use the "Report This Post" button rather than playing the parent. Editorial comments on the value of a thread or post, such as "useless thread", "in before the lock", "this thread should be closed", etc., are not welcome. This also may be considered spam, as it adds nothing to the discussion, and furthermore as thread hijacking and taking the thread off topic. If you don't like a thread and it doesn't break any rules don't reply to it! More often than not, that causes more problems than it fixes. Let us handle what is ours to handle. If you're interested in becoming a moderator you can send your application to [email protected].

Since statistically speaking, a good number of people in this thread will experience this situation IRL at some point, here's some actual advice:

Let it go for a while and collect as much evidence as possible. Keep that evidence in a secure private place (NOT in a shared device or location, more like a flash drive you keep in your office or something). The only thing you need to reveal is that you have discovered the infidelity. Don't blow up and explain all the evidence you've found, as it will be your most important asset when you get to the legal phase.

A lot of people **** this part up because they're trying to win an argument with their spouse. Remember that very soon, you will be trying to win an argument with your spouse's lawyer, and at that point you will regret giving away your entire playbook.

Married men, when you argue with your spouse remove the idea of a winner and loser. A man who has to win an argument is a man who will eventually lose his wife's heart. Be the leader of your home. Understand how to bring unity in the midst of adversity. Understand how to love your wife as you love yourself. Today... if you're not united as one, be the leader and apologize first. Love her with humility. Show her what she means to you. Remember, if you can't do this with the most important person in your life, you'll never be able to do it with anyone at all. Stand strong men.

Hey guys,

I think I may have jumped the gun a bit on this one

Turns out the "Alex" that shes been going out for drinks after work with is actually her female co-worker. Going out for a dinner and some drinks with my wife, Alex and Alex's husband tonight. Turns out Alex's husband is into hockey too...hopefully we'll have some good banter about the awards show this evening
