Hockey Prospectus' take on Beaulieu:

Hockey Prospectus' take on Beaulieu:
Reflects what a lot of posters here have stated. He has the tools and age is on his side, however, it's a risky proposition to believe that he's going to achieve his full potential. He needs to be more than an offensive specialist -- I'd rather see him play with Hamilton for as long as it takes, even 3-4 years, unless it becomes evident that his decision-making skills show no sign of tangible improvement.
That's a very good assessment.
The good news about the bad is that the Habs seem to have strong group of development people and they are willing to be patient with him. On some teams he'd be "learning on the fly" in the NHL which is not a good thing for a lot of kids.
don't follow the habs much, but what is beaulieu's expected ceiling?
He outplayed Tinordi in their few games BOTH offensively and defensively. Beaulieu looks very confident. A bit too much at times but he looks a lot like Subban in his first year.

Offensively: Yes
Defensively: No.
Good to see you're just as crotchety as ever Habs.
I think he has Ron Hainsey upside, maybe a bit higher
Beaulieu has been pretty bad defensively, I know. Just that Tinordi, this season at least, has been very off position for some reason.
