Hockey Ultimate Team: HUT Thread III

Pulled 96 Makar from rivals packs . Sold him to get 94 Hedman and 95 Kucherov. Grinded div1 rivals, and comp seasons this week (20 games or so total) probably most all year so it's nice to be rewarded.

Fourth line is kinda meh but the first three lines all having 99 endurance you can pretty much just roll 3 lines. Would like to get one more big RHD (Burns, Parayko or Hamilton) to replace the untradeable Addison. Other than that team is pretty much set for the rest of the year apart from maybe upgrading Hossa at some point.

Thoughts on good targets where my team can get better and which cards people really enjoy that I'm using?

Loved the 88 AS Tkachuk and so the 92 has been decent but dont feel it's been as good.

Anyone have any tips for me for team building or working with these players? Also have about 10.5k coins.

I have way too many snipers though and I prefer two way/pwf/playmakers to snipers. Messed up building my squad in that sense. Thought Debrusk was a PWF when I bought him lol oops.

I loved the 88 ASG Brady Tkachuk. LW - Powerfoward. You can probably get him around 40k.

If you're looking for that style of player his a great option to save for. His cards go for fairly cheap as his speed isnt great but didnt find it hurt the card much.

It's just strange to me. You would think the market would be set by the lowest price of gold players because it's pretty obvious doing the 50 gold players sets is far cheaper.

It really baffles me, too.

The only purpose of a Gold Collectible is to throw it in a set, so it really doesn't matter if it's tradeable or not. The untradeable GC's take, what, 15 minutes to make from gridding the auction house? Plus you get a set completed to help get a few free icon collectibles.

2nd best card is 92 so big jump for my top player spot.

Biggest pack pull was 87 Jordan Staal before this. Cant believe it I never get anything from packs.

Decently new to HUT on Xbox, got a team full of all the top base NHLers (McDavid, Crosby, etc). Looking to make the next jump by starting to buy special cards, which are some guys that are bargains and I should look towards?

I was between Kopitar and Zetterberg wanting a Center. Took the size and better defense with Kopitar.

Have Keith or I might have gone Bourque cause hes one of my favourites.

So I turned in Silver set today, and the 2nd gold card was a 99 Lemieux. It sucks because I already have one and I can't trade the other
