Is anyone else just bored of the content so far this year? Icons are meh, master icons are getting stale and the master set players have been super boring to me as well. I'm hoarding gold collectibles until something great comes along but I have no idea when (or what) that could be

Man, 91 Gretzky is such a dud. I love lefties, and his advanced stats look good, but he’s not even at .5 points per game for me through 25 games. Lemieux is a beast, though

Goalies are by far the biggest weakness on the team but they activate 2 of the synergies. Really need Bishop's 84 or 86 card so I'll probably buy that.

They finally released some must-have MSPs for me. 95 Datsyuk and 94 Barkov. I used my Gold Collectibles on the 94 Barkov as I love his card in HUT...he's been playing great for me.

Also had a few things I was proud of this week. I was able to grind out the 20 HUT Champs games and likely finish in the top 300. I also got promoted to Div 1 in Rivals. Right now I'm just focusing on Squad Battles.

TOTY came early this year. EA released 36 cards and 6 of them upgraded +8 and then to match their highest overall and will continue to do so. Ovechkin, McDavid, Kucherov, Carlson, Burns and Binnington.

Used 16 gold collectibles to get a Drai, and then 15 more to get McDavid lol.

so so so Tired of no name players from non hockey markets running 99 overall in speed and skating...Lukas Fox from Great Britain 99 speed...among others, its just annoying at this point.
Here use this unknown Kazak goalie who is randomly better than your 91 Pekka Rinne or your 89 Henrik Lundqvist and watch me pull my hair out because this unknown is literally a brick wall...

or even better yet, get going full tilt with Victor Hedman (91) and have Theo Fleury crush you in the open ice...BS EA bsolute BS...thats without my Rponger getting crushed by Patrick fricking Kane... god I hate this mode...but it's really my only option to make my own team and play other people...damn you EA just be somewhat realistic

Icon Upgrades...finally!! I’ve been saving my icon collectibles as no more really fit in my team. I’m debating between Lemieux/Coffey first, although I’m leaning Lemieux as he feels more dated.

I’d try making a Reddit account and post it in r/NHLHUT. I’d imagine the chances of someone having a MSL, it being traceable, and on your system are all pretty low, especially as the thread isn’t the most active.

I'd upgrade centres to cards that have better face offs, especially if you want to compete online. But I mean the most important thing is simply that you pick players that you have fun playing with. I'd probably sell any all stars player before the event. Seems those cards are still over valued and the all star game and skills are usually a total crapshoot other than fastest skater and maybe the hardest shot.

I got super lucky and pulled Winternational Addison and TOTY Arvidsson from div 1 title packs couple weeks back so I managed to do the TOTY Ovechkin set pretty cheaply. Then on top of that pulled tradable 93 prime time Draisaitl from rivals pack which I sold and bought 92 Jagr. Decided to build Lemieux a week back and now rocking this lineup:

I'd try and get some quicker players for the top 6. Even with a good overall, some players play "slower" than their stats would otherwise indicate. Jagr's on my team as well but he's one of those guys.

For suggestions, Winternational Kessel, Morenz, any Kane card, any Mackinnon card and Lafleur are all guys who can fly

95 Mario is a cheat code. Absolutely love him so far, he’s the best card in the game.

85 Toews and 86 Kane are interesting in your lineup. If I went against your team, I’d for sure assume the Toews is the Leader one and the Kane is a higher-end one (maybe not 95, but still).
