You are all terrible fans!

Carolina is the same brutal team of former leafs as last year plus Ron Hainsey LOL! They've only beat Philly and Washington so far, and the Staals haven't been great. 7-1 Leafs here with Hainsey scoring an own goal Hat trick!

In all seriousness very winnable game but we will have to continue to play our game, who cares about shots (Last game was a little extreme). Dion will have to shut down Staal, and we'll need someone on Skinner too who's been on the 3rd line but putting up points.

Usually a fun one to watch however lets go!!

Didnt realize how bad their D is especially with Pitkanen out... man, we should score some goals today (as usual) and hopefully Reimer plays well and the D has another good game

The Canes are such a bad team on paper. I haven't seen them play, and with the way Leafs give up shots, this might end up being a tough game to play, but I don't see why the Leafs wouldn't win this one.

Team CORSI ratings, Carolina #10 in league, TOR dead last at #30, I think our DEF is better than people think/see on paper. Harrison/Murphy has been pretty marginal to bad, and Bellemore is regressing a bit but perhaps it will be a tough game - good luck, looking forward to an entertaining game.

- EDIT: NVM, those were last year's stats. This year, CAR #22, TOR #27. So better matchup 'on paper' perhaps, but apologies for the quick note above and not checking stats.

Good luck again, though. Hope it's a good one.

Yea... Corsi ratings aren't going to take you far. Not against Leafs. Many have tried and failed. :yo:

Man, our forward group is getting ugly. Here's hoping we can keep rolling until we get some guys back.

As long as we can keep getting a surprise player scoring a goal, we'll be fine.

Trevor Smith scored last time and Leivo ringed one off the post.

They aren't our regular forwards but they don't have that deer in the headlights look...they know how to play.

Yeah, I think part of the reason we've done so well (aside from special teams and goaltending obviously) is because the guys drawing into the line up can actually play. A far cry from the Ben Ondrus days.

It's funny how all the haters like to stir up the Leafs goalie debate. Most Leaf fans are happy with both young goalies and support both. It's the haters that are running down Reimer or Bernier. They should worry about their own teams goalies or lack of them.

'Competition' nothing....the Leafs will need BOTH their goalies playing well this year as neither have faced the rigors of a full season. Bernier is more polished and Reimer is more scattered...but both are getting the job done. All is good in Leaf Nation.

Don't worry we have Mason Van Raymond aka MVR. Clearly JVR taught him a move or two during practice :sarcasm:
