That's a stand-up fight by Harrison. Leadership noted.

Hells yeah. Not often Harrison does that well in a scrap. Maybe Rutherford will call him up later and cry about it because "We have to get it out of the game".

Bert Bellamonica not looking so sharp in the first period. Poor gap control, bad angles, screening Ward.

Not a bad first period on the road. Would be even without a weird bounce on the PP. Wouldn't have had the PP in the first place without Harrison falling (and he wasn't the only one).

First line really needs to get going

Semin looks like he's trying pretty hard to get something going. Tlusty isn't getting chances because he's Tlusty. That leaves Staal, who has been playing a perimeter game and taking pull-up shots instead of getting the puck hard to the net.

Typical slow Staal start... again.

They need another lockout

Is it typical slow Staal start or him easing in to the game and being worried about his knee? I don't think we can pretend that his injury didn't happen yet.

We could have interviewed a chair and the result would be just as interesting as any player on our team or theirs.

Hockey interviews are the worst.

If he's still easing-in after five months, a full training camp, four exhibitions and now three regular season games, then he needs to go on IR and get healthy. That would be a disturbing development.

The point is everyone is getting back up to game speed. Very few players look to be at the top of their game right now. It's just Eric may still having lingering concerns about his knee in the dirty areas.
