The closer you get to becoming a lawyer, the more everyone else wants you to stick a knife in an electrical outlet. :sarcasm:

hahaha If I end up doing the work I want to do, there shouldn't be much opportunity to make people angry/screw people over. No lawsuits, criminal law, or family law.

Unless I screw up that is, in which case my client would get screwed, rightfully be angry, and I might end up with a lawsuit against me.

But if I can avoid that, I don't think the "everyone hates lawyers" stereotype would fit.

Bless your heart, I’m sure nobody will hate you as a lawyer.

That belief is based on what lawyers in the field have told me, so it's not *merely* a result of youthful idealism. The clients are generally launching new businesses or brands, or giving businesses a new look. So they are almost always in a better spot than those looking for a personal injury or defense attorney.

Someone will hate me, but I think they'll be the exception rather than the rule.

Hey guys, I am kind of back, but probably not really. My mom didn't recover and died...
Any tips how to deal with this? I am pretty ****ed up because of this
:(

I’m so sorry to hear that. Luckily I haven’t had to deal with losing a parent yet, so I don’t have any kind of advice for you.

Hang tough, brother, you are loved.

That's horrible man. There's not much you can do except keep your head up and be thankful about all the good times you had with her. Don't be afraid to ask your friends and family for help either. You have my condolences.

Condolences Breakdown. I'm very sorry for your loss. I can't offer any advice above what's already been offered as it's different for every person. I've found for me (and my wife with her mother and father), that time is the thing that helps the most. As time goes on, the good memories eventually swamp the feelings of sadness.

My mom died when I was 21.

It changes you. Let it.

I don't know about your situation, but for me, the thing that helped was taking care of my dad. Losing a mother is hard, but losing a young wife is harder.

Remember everything you can. Write down things that you remember, even if it hurts to do it. The more remembering you do now, the more you'll remember later.

There are no words of condolence that work, so I won't try. Just know that you're not alone in the world. There's a lot of orphans out here.
