I clicked through and read the article.

Key lesson: This is why when you move you always sort and winnow your possessions / garage / basement, etc., and donate / throw out what you don't need before you move. You never have time to do it after / later. This is how hoarding starts. The hell if I would haul 12 moving boxes of porn and 2 boxes of sex toys from Michigan to Indiana for my son, even if it was just across the border.

Are there ads on this site getting far more intrusive to anyone else?

Feels like the popups on mobile are a bit overwhelming right now. And they have the appearance of being pretty malicious.

The ads at the bottom are longer then the posts on a page, and the “Have you seen her ad” is quite annoy too. Time get back on here with FF

Oh well if BBA vouches for it, I want nothing to do with it

Lol

Notice I didn't give you that information. :naughty:

Seriously though, the downside is you can't stay logged in unless you keep it open as it erases everything when you close the app, so I don't use it that much. I used it a lot when they switched the boards over and there was all that "Congratulations, you are a winner" junk that kept showing up on the phone. Worked great for that.

Face ID logs in fast enough, the new ads are getting bad

I dunno, but these Smartfeed "sponsored" links are getting more annoying when I visit here at college when I'm not doing assignments. That's why I use AdBlock at home.

God I hate phone interviews.
Yep. But they tend to be the nature of the beast in my profession at least.
"Oh, there's 5 positions open for work on an emr implementation in the coming month."

"Cool, where at?"

"NYC, Fort Meyers, Houston, Tucson, and Seattle"

"Well at least you didn't say Fairbanks or Hawaii"

"Oh you would be ok with those? I'll send the info over"

Completely new experience for me. Don’t particularly like my job now but it pays well so I wasn’t looking. I had the director of a competitor reach out on LinkedIn and I had a phone call with him and then sent him my resume. That all went fine.

Had an initial interview with a recruiter for the company today and while I felt prepared I feel like I ended up talking too fast and just rambling. Probably didn’t make the best impression. Will definitely have to type up some responses to expected questions before I speak to management next.

Didn’t realize you travel for work. So do I. How do you like it?

Same, but hopefully it panned out!

During the in person panel interview for my current position, there were ten people aside from me in the room. Four were asking questions, six were staring at me and then taking notes whenever I spoke. That shit was a nightmare and I butchered multiple answers. I left convinced I'd never hear back, but a month later I ended up getting the offer.

Don't stress about the impression you think you left, just focus on the next step!

I have let myself be told sometimes they intentionally make the situation stressful as hell to test your reactions rather than being intetested of your answers.

The silent people were probably drawing dickbutts to their papers.

That sounds incredibly stressful having that many people present. Glad you got it, though. Must be one hell of a job to require that kind of panel.

Thanks for the advice. I’m probably just being too hard on myself. She did say that the next step would be a full phone interview with management so I’ll make sure I’m prepared for that. It’s funny but I’ve never really gone through an interview process in my life and I’m 31 now. I mean, I’ve had a few but they were cases where I essentially knew going in that I had the job. I’ve just worked my way up from the bottom of my industry, networking and impressing people, and each job has been better than the last.
