No but we are inbred hockey fans. So in that sense we are like HF royalty.

Not true. Only the Raleigh folks are inbred because there's nothing to do there but smoke meth and marry sisters. We in Charlotte are more sophisticated and we spend our time drinking bud light, smoking marlboros, and watching NASCAR with our wives who are also our cousins

Quoted words can also be reactionary damage control after the fact.

Could be. Although Dundon said those words right off the bat and well before the signing of Waddell.

Anyhow, doesn't matter. He said he could have a contract if he wanted one and he gave him one. I'm not denying that Dundon is a bit unconventional. Doesn't mean he's wrong though.

You know damn well that Raleigh is the most educated city in the state. We even have a middle school now.

You're correct in leaving Cary out of this. Pretty much a gated community for NE transplants who don't want to rub shoulders with the help

Cary? Ain't that the place where them fancy yankees from long guy-land play that fancy stick puck game called "Ice Hawkey"? I done tried to play that once on ma cousins lake in South Carol-line-ah in the heat of summer but I done fell in the water. Silly yankees and there fancy ice sports. We alls know theres only one sport here that matters and thats the college foosball. Rolleee Tyy-duh! Oh wait thats Ally-bama.

Sounds like he's figuring out how things work in this league
You sign contracts in pro sports because you don’t want your employees to just jump ship and leave you hanging cause other teams won’t let you talk to their guys in season.
