I see Matt Duchene type player with Alex Galchenyuk-like skating stride.
interesting video as I don't know too much about him, other then the hype after he killed it in the dub at 17 and 18 years old. (177 pts in 130 games) And things seemed to be going great for him in his 2nd pro season at age 21. He put up a .87 ppg which would have been 66 pts had he been able to keep that pace up. He led that team in goals and tied for 2nd in points despite playing only 45 games. Then he gets traded at the end of Feb that year and still does well putting up a .71 ppg in just 17 games as he appeared in 7 NHL games with the Flames putting up 3 pts.
At 22 he spends most of his 3rd pro season in the AHL and puts up a solid .67 ppg which over 76 games would be 51 pts, not bad at all. He gets called up for another 7 games with the Flames but gets just 1 pt, in his 14 games with the Flames he gets just over 13 minutes of ice time and he does record 17 shots but just 2 goals and 4 pts. But this past season he has his worst yet, spending all year in the AHL and putting up a .51 ppg. which would have been just 39 pts as the pacific plays only 68 games and the rest of the AHL play 76 games in case anyone wasn't aware.
So what caused his production to go from .87 to .71 to .67 to .51 from his 2nd pro season to being in the Flames organization. Stockton was a playoff team 2 years ago, but this past season they missed.
Hopefully he can use this as a chance to get back on track. He can talk to his former Hat teammate Markus Eisenschmid about playing in Laval and he'll be joined by his former Utica teammate Alex Grenier in Laval.
