Hunter Jones would not have been in the OHL this year. He would have been an overager as a 2000 born player. And given that he signed his NHL deal, he would have turned pro.
His ELC did not slide in the NHL.

The slide (for underage CHL players) was for 2001 and 2002 born players only. Compare and contrast the cap slides on capfriendly pages for said players (Byfield, Tomasino, etc).
