If the Panthers sign Panarin I could see them wanting Malkin to play with him. Not sure they should part with Huberdeau and a first to get him though.

I imagine the Panthers will be busy this off season though.

If Panarin is signed, yes Hoffman would likely be moved as Tallon has hinted at bringing in a vet D.
If Panarin isn't signed, I'd love to re-sign Hoffman, his shot is lethal and would love to see him and Tippett on the same PP one day.

Trocheck going to Pittsburgh makes more sense than Huberdeau. Pittsburgh would be very thin at C and Trocheck is wasted as a third line center. Panthers also have Borgstrom.

Huberdeau only moves for a legit #2/3 D who has some term. (Pesce as example)

Running Barkov - Malkin - Trochek down the middle is formidable and stacking your center depth is certainly a strong strategy.

I don't think the rest of the roster is quite where it needs to be to justify shuffling Hubs for a 30yo Malkin though. Maybe it's something they entertain if they do land both Panarin and Bob. But at that point both the cap and sheer salary becomes a serious consideration.
