Tampa
Boston
Caps
Pens

Calgary
Vegas
Stars
Jets

Can still go 6/8, but I think flames are done. Jets/stars can go either way. Pretty confident in caps, bruins and Vegas. Had a caps/jets final so that's still on.

Had the Lightning over the Blue Jackets
Bruins over Leafs
Caps over Canes
Pens over Isles
Jets over Blues
Preds over Stars
Knights over Sharks
Flames over Avs

I had Tampa and Vegas in the finals

Not looking great so far. I might go 5 for 8 in round 1, but still a lot left to be decided.

Nothing too surprising other than the first round sweeps that I definitely got wrong.

Have to wait and see, but the only surprise to me is COL being up 3-1 vs CAL.
That said, I'm definitely not right with all my predictions either way.

2/2 so far. And Colorado and Vegas look like strong candidates to make it 4/4 (both are up 3-1).

The others are still too close to call. Three series tied 2-2. Caps are up 2-1 (I have the Caps, so that's also going well).

Really, I have nothing to feel bad about. I'm not sure if that bracket is a prediction, or a spoiler.

My pool picks are looking good. Should only lose 1 guy in the 1st rd which is pretty decent considering how things have gone and appear to be going.

LOL

Let's see.
Penguins #1 Cup favorite.
Tampa #2 Cup favorite.

So that's going well...

I did like Col vs Calgary so not as surprising there. I had high hopes for San Jose....but almost as high hopes for Vegas too, so also not too bad.
I had Toronto winning. Nashville too. But all the series that are tied is fine - can still go either way, so no real issue with any of those.

You also predicted Crosby would have a great playoffs.

Whereas I predicted basically nothing, because I am a coward. :)

I’m in a pool where everyone ranks teams from 1 to 16 and the ranking serves as the multiplier for all wins that team accumulates in the postseason. This is the best of my brackets. The good news is a lot of people are screwed:

16- Tampa Bay
15- Vegas
14- Pittsburgh
13- Dallas
12- Washington
11- Calgary
10- St. Louis
9- Boston
8- Winnipeg
7- Islanders
6- Colorado
5- Nashville
4- Toronto
3- Carolina
2- San Jose
1- Columbus

I have a Vegas Isles final so thats looking good.

Have Avs Knights Blues Stars. TB Boston Caps Isles. We shall see. I had Dallas in 4 so that aint happening. Jets now looking way better than I thought they would so they may win too. But hey I said Isles in 5 so pretty close there.

Easter weekend is coming up, and several more series could be wrapped up by the time people get to work on Tuesday.

How wrong were people about their picks for each series?

Personally:
Penguins out? wow
Lightning out? WOW
Nashville tied? interesting with Granlund and Simmonds pick-ups
Avs leading 3-1? I had Calgary as a top 2 team for contending West
SJ down 3-1? Had SJ as the other top 2 team

Boston/Toronto + Caps/Carolina -> these are pretty much how I saw things going, even series until late.

Very interesting possible match-ups heading into round 2+3 imho.

Oh, you are pretty bad at predictions.

You really expected the Pens to win the series?

You haven't expected Dallas to at least bother the reeling Preds?

Calgary a top 2 team in the West?

I haven't done my homework on the Tampa injury reports. If I knew they go into the series basically without Stralman and Hedman I would not pencil them in for the win just like that. Still would not expect a sweep though.

I mulled over Colorado vs Calgary for awhile but gave the edge to cgy...

I had tampa in 6 and Islanders in 7 so obv I thought it would be way closer

I had Washington in 5 thats beginning to worry me

Edit I have Washington as repeat champs against Saint Louis so nothing done now (but a Vegas vs Washington final rematch would not surprise me!)
