The biggest mistake was having nobody in line to replace Bowman.
It got simultaneously compounded and rectified with the addition of Babcock.
Babcocks presence was a net negative for the longevity of our core, and for the development and utility of our prospects moving forward.
Babcock was the end of the line, and it was obvious all along imo. There was a brief time where it was worth considering if Babcock was a cut above the rest, and our new foundation, but alas he did his thing and cashed in/out.
The hovering about mediocrity for the past decade was a combined effort between the Illitches, Holland and Babcock. I don't think either of the later two were ever in the dark about the trouble that would eventually come.
