The History board will be ranking the top forwards, by position, in the near future. Right now we are trying to determine which positions players should be considered for, so I would like to know how much Henrik Zetterberg has played C and LW throughout his entire career as a Red Wing? If any of you can tell me where he played year-by-year, or even more specific than that, it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance,

He's been a center since 2009 season

Roughly five years at wing and five at center

Sounds about right.. Started with the 'Two kids and an old goat' line, to the eurotwin line. 2009 when we added Hossa, Z went to center his own line and has been there since.

Babs experimented with a Z/D line again this year but we don't have the depth we had in the past, plus injuries. He should be a center for the remainder of his career.

He's spent more time at center. His first 3 seasons he played mostly wing, but during 06-07 he moved primarily to center.

Even in 07-08 when he played on a line with Datsyuk much of the season, Zetterberg mostly played center and Datsyuk left wing. They'd switch some games so it could get confusing, but as Babcock would say "they can figure it out themselves."

So since 06-07, he's primarily been center.
