I don't doubt this from what i have seen from EK this preseason. Still hoping that we try and improve the 1C in the coming years by someone in our system or trade/sign.

Ek is a quality linemate. [MOD]

I'll say it again [MOD], Kaprizov and Zucarello's style of play and skill level don't require the class "puck distributor" type of center to get them the puck. Kaprizov has shown me that he is quite capable of getting the puck and controlling it much the way a quality center does.

What Ek brings is size, some skill and a physical net front presence, which is what they lacked last season. I would like to see him do a little better when it comes to face-offs, however.

Kaprizov drives his own bus like Panarin does. For guys like that it’s the center that benefits from playing with the winger not the other way around.
