How many points do the Ottawa Senators earn in the remaining 17 games?

I think I predicted 66 points for this season. There was a thread about this but I don't know how to find that thread at the start of this season some people on this site made predictions.
They might get there.....maybe.

The thread was titled “How many points will the Senators get this year?”

I predicted 66 after the Sens traded Karlsson and Hoffman. Now with Stone, Duchene and Dzingel gone too, 66 looks a little high. The points the team has picked up recently has exceeded my expectations.

It shouldn't. A 17 game sample is far too small to give much insight using only total points. Had we gotten half as many points as we did i wouldn't be shocked nor would it change my opinion of how they played.

I believe we got 15 pts in the last 17 games, roughly a 72 pts pace.

Edit: or did you mean sample size? I'd want to see around 30 myself

After 17 games we were on an 82 pts pace this year and 101 pts pace last year

A lot more than half the people were wrong initially but then people started voting once we won a couple more games.

Well they did 3 times better than i thought they would. Largely helped by Duke, Gibby, and Oscar which might even be more surprising. I guess some of my doom and gloom predictions for the Sens success this year were a little on the emo side. I think i also picked 199 GF and 301 GA for the year. They did a bit better on GF than i was anticipating for sure. Hopefully that gives hope.

Genuinely surprised by how much better than expectations they were after the trade of the big 3. I expected them to be blown away in every game, but they pretty much hung on in every game.

I don't think I want Crawford extended, but I'm definitely impressed with how the team played under him.
