He had a good training camp but the Flames look to be taking a patient approach with him. Technically it's his first pro season so I would think that it won't be until next year or even the year after until he is a full time NHLer, depending on how he does in Stockton. If the Flames suck this year I could see him getting in a few games as a call up.
He's been pretty effective in the AHL. 10 points in his first 11 games (dating back to the end of last season). I could see him getting a look at the end of the year if the Flames struggles continue. If not, he could see some action due to injury, however, I think we see Shinkaruk first.
