With the controversy over the gaming of the cap system by the Bolts and Kuch miraculously hitting playing condition for the first game of the play-offs, it would be interesting to survey hfboarders conceptions of Kucherovs physical condition at the moment. The floor is yours.

    At the moment? 100%.

What probably happened is that he would have been able to return at 100% in like April, but Tampa held him out until the playoffs started.

Suggesting he is 100% is laughable. I'm not sure he's overly "injured" per se, vs just not being in his best game shape (i.e rusty), but he is definitely not in peak form. Fortunately, he's such an amazing talent that he finds a way to be a threat despite not being at the top of his game.

I’m pretty sure he’s at 100% (his new normal) or as close as he will be to it. Playing with an injured hip in any sport is near impossible.

His feelings are 5% hurt cause people on the internet are saying mean things, but he should make a full recovery with winning the cup.

Barely able to play, all the constant whining from other fanbases and apparently teams is really crippling him with headaches.

Seriously just watch the game. He’s absolutely not 100%.

reality is he’s at 90-95% just like most everyone else in the playoffs

People are just going to look at his point totals without watching games and claim he's 100%.

But honestly, who the f*** cares. People need to stop f***ing whining and get over it. The NHL investigated, as it always does, he was actually not supposed to return until June but came back early and IMO its's pretty clear he's not at 100%

Couldn’t find the “back to 100% several weeks before close of regular season” so didn’t vote.

By the way, this is no criticism of Tampa. League left a loophole as big as a barn door and Tampa wisely just walked through it. Don’t shoot the management team who was simply smart enough to take full advantage of the smartest boy in the room (Gary B).

My snarky comment is targeted at shaky Gary, not Tampa.

By the way, think Gary will fine me for that? Or does his gag order not extend to fans? Yet.:naughty:

I wonder why Pastrnak didn't come back at the start of the season, that bum missed a whole month and scored 8 points in his first 4 games, clearly he was ready to play opening night.

There seems to be this bizarre idea on here that players don't return from surgery until they're 100%

Impossible to say exactly but most players come back from injuries not at 100%, so im going to go he is still banged up.

He was expected to return around the 2nd round. He chose to come back early, so he's probably not quite at 100%, but he's probably close.

His agent advised him against returning as early as he did even. There is zero way Tampa held him out.

    Im sure they did.

If the stanley cup final was a week before playoffs started, hed have played. They didnt hold him out for long - but game 1 was always target

And there's nothing wrong with that imo

Certainly not 100%. 5 on 5 he's not close to his form. He's been racking up power play points because that obviously takes a lot less from your body.

This one. I don't believe for one second he was finally game ready only in time for round 1. But I don't doubt he did recover from injury for a good stretch of the season.

Being able to play if it was an important game isn't the same as being 100% though.

He doesn’t seem quite the same to me. When he scored that one timer at ES last round, he couldn’t really put his hips into it while skating. I think he is still working his way back to full health, hopefully the break here does him some good.

Most importantly for TB fans, he needs to be truly back to 100% for next season. But I’m sure another Cup would be nice first.

He looks 100% but that doesn't mean he didn't need the surgery before.
