How confident are you that Babcock is the right coach for this team and that he will be able to turn this recent slide around?

I am not advocating either way but I think we're at a fragile point with this group.

I have zero faith in his ability to get us through a single playoff round.

he just makes it too easy to beat us with our static style of play. everyone knows that were going to stretch pass. everyone knows our strategy on the PP yet he won't make any adjustments. we're far to easy to figure out and in a playoff situation that's killer.

I haven't lost faith in him but sometimes I wonder if his blue collar persona and family man message come across well with the millennial core.

Im not too thrilled about him as a coach. The most important attributes a coach needs to have, he lacks severely lacks in them.

I'm not confident in anyone on this team besides Andersen.

I think he is an average coach. With teams so close talent-wise in the NHL now, you need every advantage you can get.

Cooper or Julien will be spanking Babs and taking his lunch money if we see them in the playoffs.

Trotz vs Lightning last 5 games:

4 games 1 or less goals against (3 shutouts)

    1 game over 1 GA

    We should have hire Trotz.

    I've got some doubts

He seems like a good hardworking guy but I'm not sure his system, mentality, and motivational strategy work for a team full of young guys

I'd fire the special teams coach first though, our PP is an abomination

0, since we're not winning the cup this year, it's probably best we lose in the first round so he gets canned.

There is absolutely no way we get through Tampa with his horrendous decisions.

This team finished dead last (30th out of 30 teams) 3 seasons ago..

And incredibly enough, people seem to think this team is a finished product.

It's baffling how badly short-term memory loss affects this fanbase.

Jim Hiller is Babs right hand man. He isn't going anywhere.
Keefe should honestly be promoted to assistant coach.
One of the strengths of Keefe is his teams always find a way to create offense, even if the talent level isn't strong.

I don’t know if Scotty Bowman could win with this team. There are some good players but there’s not a real good mix.

I just feel like a rookie coach might get eaten alive in this market plus it is easier in the AHL vs NHL. Marlies have a massive budget and Eakins looked alright and we know how that went.

Everyone is a rookie at some point though and needs their chance to break through.

The irony of him being a blue-collar coach yet the team constantly playing a periphery game and button-hooking in the corners with passes going back to the dmen rather than cutting to the net or even attempting passes through the slot.

This team had Daniel Winnik on the first line 3 seasons ago. It now has the deepest offense in the league, what the **** kind of argument is this?

I feel like Keefe will be up next year at the latest (as an assistant). There’s still a lot he can learn from babcock, especially handling himself off the ice and with the media.

Kind of like the raptors did with Nurse and Casey.

I guess Dubas would need to be really confident that he has the next Cooper vs the next Eakins. Cooper was one of those guys down there that really deserved to be up in the NHL for quite a while.

If Keefe doesn't work out, Dubas's first gig could go up in flames REAL fast.

Look at the bloody roster, if he can't win with this lot he's not the right person to coach this team

Hiller sucks balls, it looks like nobody on the PP has even met the other guys it's so dysfunctional

Honestly I wonder if a team has ever turned a PP down, because we probably should since it's a momentum shifter for the other team

Something needs to change before this starts to really spiritual

Does he also not get credit for developing these players though? They have good reputations because they've played well in the NHL, he's had a hand in that.

What do you mean "look at this roster"?

    What does this mean?

Just because YOU fall in love with the names on the roster doesn't mean anyone else does.

That's all you and you've clearly already set yourself up for disappointment.

If you watched the game, what were your thoughts when the Wing ran over Freddy and no one even looked at the guy. That’s not the first time that happened either. Are they told not to stick up for one another? Seems proposterous.

How can he win with guys like that?

If that's true he's got to go, it's way easier to ditch the coach than makeover the team

Developing the players is fine, but you still need to be able to win with the roster as it's been constructed

We're fast and skilled, you have to set the team up for success with that in mind rather than lament what you don't have

I think this is a young core and he is trying to instill what he considers fundamentals. At the same time he is allowing a certain amount of creativity to flourish. No doubt about it though, this is his team and they are obviously buying into it.
I think Babcock has an extremely long endgame that people aren’t used to, let’s hope he gets there when these players are seasoned.
