How aware are players of stats?

In light of the Carey Price and Patrick Kane threads, I started thinking, just how aware of stats are players and how much do they know about them?

For instance, do they know Price's sav% over the last few years have been pretty underwhelming and that his playoffs numbers aren't all that great? They no doubt know who are the best scorers of the league but are they aware of mid-tier scorers and players? Do they know Datsyuk has just been passed for the highest amount of takeaway since the 2005-06 season despite having been out of the NHL for 4 seasons? Do they even care? How much stock do they even put into stats?
