Is this the definition of a lose-lose trade? Wizards get the better and healthier player but they also give up a pick.

Now we wait for Beal to get frustrated with Westbrook and demand a trade to Miami.

Russ wants to be traded to a team where he can be "the guy" again and gets traded to a team with Bradley Beal lol.

Russ gonna ask out by mid-year.

Not sure whether to laugh or not

Someone said this would make the Wiz a playoff team lmao

They didn't do shit without him the last 2 years and weren't even CLOSE to contention

Now when Wall is finally ready to play they deal him

Westbrook is in the middle of a 5 year $200+M contract. This is lose lose.

I think the Wiz win this one.

No one knows what John Wall is at this point.

Westbrook is still very good, he just has a whopper of a contract...which is only 1 year longer.
Westbrook is alright

Not sure if he and Beal can even lead this team to the playoffs

EVEN if they did make the playoffs shooting the lights out without any D they would still get owned by the Bucks or whatever first round opponent they meet

Wizards fans are almost nonexistent for a reason. There is ZERO hope for the Wizards. Even when they succeed it's short term. If this even results in a playoff berth the Wiz could be eliminated very fast lol

This is not a good trade for Houston. Wall's not a good 3-point shooter plus knee injuries potentially zaps his athletic ability. I'm not sure he's even a good player anymore.

At the very least, we know that Russ is still an all-star calibre player. Washington wins this trade hands down.

They will lead the Wizards to the playoffs. It may only be the 7th or 8th seed and they'll get bounced right away, but they'll still get there.

I think Westbrook is a shell of his former self nowadays but I still see how he can be a star player, and Beal is fantastic. Those two alone will be good enough so that Washington is better than Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Chicago, Charlotte, Orlando, and Atlanta.
