Hossa deserved the hall, but maybe not as a first ballot dude... he was an exceptional two way winger and his offense was top notch... People forget he turned down a nearly ten million per year deal with Edmonton to sign That deal with Detroit... and ten million then was Really high... he was thought of as a superstar winger for certain

Far from ironclad, but I think there's a case for Letang. Even with the injuries he's certain to sustain over the next few years, he'll still likely end up in the top 30 all-time for points from a defenseman, plus his three* cup rings.
