Just saw Dagger post that in the main topic. Yeah, can't lie, I was actually expecting more than "just" Hino to give up for the opening day cap flexibility, but devil's in the details.

I would have no issue giving up Hino here

Not like he is giving away a talent like TT here

Still its losing another potential asset for nothing but sadly it is what it is

Would you guys actually expect we got something meaningful in return? Arizona is always looking for cap floor guarantees obviously, but they're essentially still doing us a favor like Florida did with Campbell.

Nope

I just hope Stanley doesn't need to swallow some sorta cap dump from Yotes

Any crappy contracts Stanley may be forced to take on in the 2-3M range on Yotes?

i dont think we will get much of anything in return but i would really think that stan would have another move coming if hes trying to get the cap space

Hino is a nice piece, but how many Hino, Kane, Sikura, DCat sized wings can one team roster at once? I don't see Hino as more then a 3rd line energy/secondary scorer which is something you can probably still grab off the UFA scrap heap 2 weeks after free agency started.

We obviously plan on spending the freed cap space on something....so lets see what.

I like Hino but it's not too bad considering Hawks are dumping three years worth of Hossa cap hit.

Certainly not as bad as giving up on TT for 1 year of Bickell contract
