Kind of OT, but I'm always amused/bewildered at the number of players that left this team after the SCF run and disappeared into hockey obscurity (some not right away).

Comrie has retired from injuries.
Heatley is slowing down at an accelerated rate. Worst contract in the league.
Preissing and Gerber play in Sweden.
Schaefer doesn't play pro anymore.
Redden resurfaced in the NHL after a lucky break but is a scratch most nights.
One of my all-time favs Dean McAmmond was target practice for the leagues biggest goons. He finished his career 4 shy of 1000 games.
Schubert is now 31 and plays at home.
Saprykin is in Russia probably.
Corvo is a southeast division journeyman... but I guess he has had some success.
Budding star goalie Ray Emery is now nothing more than a decent backup.

That team really was lightning in a bottle, buoyed heavily by the Pizza line.

To be fair though, this was six years ago, and considering the average career length of an NHLer, maybe it's not that crazy.
