Your Detroit,Michigan native Alex DeBrincat has scored his 50th goal
of his rookie season for the Erie Otters (OHL).

The 2016 draft eligible DeBrincat is first in rookie goals,points,+/-
second in penalty minutes and game winning goals.

Alex is only 1 goal behind of league leading Blandisi (51) in goals.
,second in league +/- (+55), third in first goals of the game (8).

CONGRATS FROM THIS SIDE OF THE POND :handclap:

How much time does he get with mcdavid? Next year will be huge for him.

I AGREE

---

I do not have 100% info,nor facts.
(mostly i see only the highlights)

DeBrincat's natural position is center, but has played more in
RW position, when MCD was injured Alex played center position.

I think on PP all three play together.

They do rotate wingers; Raddysh,Maksimovich,Marchment 5 on 5
in first 2 lines, but it seems they do use
Strome LW - McDavid C - DeBrincat RW line combo too.

so the answer; Alex does play a lot with MCD,however as insane good
player MCD is,someone actually haves to score those goals what
MCD sets, goals are not scored by themselves,
Alex have scored 50 goals, some served as Strome, some as MCD,
but the kid has A grade talent finishing those plays.

Yes he is undersized but doesn't let anybody push him around. Gets right up from big and sometimes cheap hits on him, and on multiple occasions has put himself in a risky spot to step in and protect Mcdavid with guys 5 inches taller and 30lbs bigger.. So his size doesn't make him play with fear that's for sure

As for playing with Mcdavid.. I'm pretty sure when Mcdavid is playing he is on the same line with him almost every single time. May have been a few times here and there when they were juggling lines but not many. Additionally he plays on the top PP with Mcdavid and Strome and or baptiste.. So that helps

However his production without Mcdavid has actually been seen and for 20 games at that when Mcdavid was out..

Here is his stats from those games:

20GP 10G 16A 26PTS

his first 11 games without Mcdavid he struggled a bit to find his own game and only had 3G and 5A for 8PTS. But as the team got confident in playing without Mcdavid and Debrincat figured things out on his own he finished the 9 game stretch without Mcdavid with 7G and 10A for 17PTS. All in all he was only held off the scoresheet 6 times (5 in the first 11 of 20 games) in those 20 games so his points and production was spread out pretty evenly

As mentioned above, somebody still has to score when Mcdavid passes the puck. And nobody better than debrincat. More than just finishing but being in the right place at the right time. It's why he won the "most dangerous in goal area" for the western conference coaches poll.

Exactly.
-this kid is in the right place at the right time quite often
and doesn't let his "small" size effect getting to dirty areas either.
