Home team question

I dont know if this has been brought up but I was wondering.

How is the Home team determined in medal games? I was wondering this because the home team gets last change and that helps in stratagy. Do they go by who has the best record or goal differential? If someone out there could help me find out it would be much appreciated.

Best record, I beleive. Unless the teams had already met previously in the tourney. IN that case the team who was the road team in the first game is the home team in the 2nd game.

When there is a stoppage in play the home team is able to see which players on the visiting team will be on the ice for the faceoff and change their lines accordingly. They have the right to the "last change." In this way they can ensure their defensive specialists are on against the other teams top line.

That is what I understood....

But then in the SF, the Czechs has home-ice (or last change) vs Canada....
