Of course, there's no guarantee both people will agree in any discussion, but there's nothing inherently wrong with that. I'm just not sure why you brought it up if you're unwilling to discuss it. I suspect that it has to do with his daughter announcing just a week earlier that she's entering the porn industry. He may not be able to concentrate enough to prepare for and then film Indy 5 over the coming months. On top of that, he has a West Side Story remake scheduled for release in December, so juggling the three things might really be too much for his plate and stepping down may better allow him to put the finishing touches on that.
