Trading Vanek gave me so much flexability, Basically choose Larson + Henrique + Whitney + Hejduk over vanek

I offered Whitney more AND he would be on our FIRST line not his 3rd.
This is stupid..

Buffalo has shown interest in Whitney since the beginning of Free Agency. They sent the first offer in. They have upped their offer when they had to. Therefore I took it as they were the most interested in him.

It was .25 million extra, not millions.

Sign Teemu Selanne to a 1yr 4mil contract with a full NMC. Our forwards now look like:

Neal-Strome-Selanne
Kostitsyn-Schenn-Hodgson
Forsberg-Johansson-Stafford

Looking to trade a package of Kostitsyn + Reinhart + Klefbom/Larsen for an upgrade on Kostitsyn.

Tim Gleason will decide his team by 6pm, The front runners are the Devils, Avalanche, Leafs, and the Rangers. The Sabres are interested but will not make an offer.

His contract is four years six-teen million, dont offer more or less please. What ever team gives the best reasons for him playing for them gets him

The Rangers are very happy to announce that they have re-signed John Mitchell as a 13th forward. We really like his versatility and believe he is a cheap alternative as he can play any of the forward positions and give good solid minutes.

The :leafs have signed yet another player that we feel will add a lot to our line-up. We sign Dustin Penner to a 1yr 1.5mil contract. We feel he will turn his game around in Toronto and get back to being the player he was in Edmonton. He is another piece added to the puzzle and will help us get to the Finals this year.

You know Dallas would match that since they have like 15mi in cap space, and Benn is their best player and only like 22... Also the picks they receive would be very late...

I agree, we need to use common sence here. Especially if you want another team to take over dallas in the future. Even Pitt would match Neal

The only thing with Pittsburgh is they'd have Crosby back, and they added a guy like Umberger. They'd be over the cap. And Neal would be getting a 4mil raise... It would've completely cap-strapped them... But Dallas has like 15mil in space.
