Springfield Civic Center 11/17/79. Hartford Civic Center had some construction going on so the Whalers played in Springfield. It was a 4-0 victory for the Whalers.

Looks like Gretzky had a 5.00 PPG in Nashville, place I guessed. One game in his final season there and five assists in the game.

Who is the only NHL player to have scored 20+ goals with seven different teams?

Guerin is correct. FerrisRox is right about both STL being the ? and Guerin not scoring 20 with SJ. I don't think Guerin even played 20 games with the Sharks. Change PHI (never played there) to DAL though.
Thanks, I keep forgetting that he played for St. Louis and Dallas. For whatever reason I have a tendency of confusing the stints of Guerin and Recchi which is why I thought Philly and somewhere else.

No worries. I forgot about Guerin receiving a tryout with the Flyers before ultimately retiring as a Pen a little later on.

Wayne Gretzky scored 894 regular season goals and 122 playoff goals. Which goalie did he beat the most in the regular season (29 goals), and which goalie did he beat the most in the playoffs (12 goals)?

Without checking my printed sources, I believe the answers are:
Richard Brodeur
and
Mike Vernon

I assisted on a goal 12 seconds into the opening game of the season on my first shift. It's still the fastest assist and point to start a career. Who am I?

Who scored the final playoff goal at the Montreal Forum?

I know kovalenko scored the last goal at the forum.

The final playoff goal must have come in 1994 playoffs against Boston in game 6, but I have no idea who scored it.

I'm just gonna guess it was Kirk Muller.

Who has scored the most goals in NHL history while being shorthanded 5 on 3?

I know someone who has scored 3 of them, and I just assume that is the record. If someone has scored more, feel free to correct me.

As a hint, the player is no longer active, but he played in the 2000s, and 2010s.

Bob Carpenter did that, it's a classic trivia question. Another good one is that Dave Christian scored 7 seconds into his first NHL shift.

It is said that Mike Richards have that record with 3 (?) goals. I believe Richard Park is the runner up with 2.

Yep, it's richards, and I believe all of them were with the flyers.

I'm just gonna guess it was Kirk Muller.

He scored the last Habs playoff goal at the Forum, but it was the second to last playoff goal there.

It was BOS/MTL game, but which Bruin scored said goal?

In the history of opponents vs. The Toronto Maple Leafs, eleven different players (min. 20 games played) have averaged at least 1.50 career points-per-game against the Leafs:
2.38 Gretzky
2.15 Lemieux
1.87 Lalonde
1.72 Bossy
1.67 Rogers
1.64 Malkin
1.61 Lindros
1.58 Sundstrom
1.57 Hawerchuk
1.55 Malone
1.55 Kurri

The most I can see for any non-1940s' or older team is the Los Angeles Kings, against whom eight players have done this over a career:
2.59 Gretzky
2.18 Lemieux
1.73 Esposito
1.67 Federko
1.63 Hull (Bobby)
1.62 Orr
1.52 Nilsson
1.50 Bossy

Who do you guess has the highest career points-per-game (again, min. 20 games played) vs. The Boston Bruins? Gretzky? Lemieux?

Nope. Ziggy Palffy -- 1.73 PPG: 45 points in 26 games played. Lemieux, Gretzky, Crosby are 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

Who am I?

* I led all playoff scorers in goals and points on a Stanley Cup-winning team
* I scored an OT goal in the Stanley Cup Finals, with another team
* I was traded straight up for a HoFer / Norris Trophy winner

Jim Pappin!!

(At first, I thought you were referring to Craig Simpson, but the 'OT goal in finals' part was off... well, he wasn't really traded straight-up either...)
