I am watching this right now and am just finished part 1 with Burke and it's worth its own thread I think. It is jut shy of 30 minutes long in total and sounds like it could become a somewhat regular thing.

it is on the Flames video page.

    http://video.flames.nhl.com/videocenter/

Burke is actually pretty funny and the best moment of part 1 IMO was when Kerr thanked Burke for helping with Right to Play and you could tell Burke choked back tears and said no more than Thank you to Kerr. It's a side of Burke you rarely get to see and while I am not a fan of Kerr for him to have Burke speachless he deserves credit.

    Part 1:
    [NHL]470091[/NHL]

    Part 2:

    [NHL]470096[/NHL]

Definitely worth the watch. Saw it earlier, gives a couple of good perspectives on how the management likes to think of the team. Some things as fans we already knew about, but overall it's a very educational and entertaining interview.

    Hope you all enjoy.

Apparently we're the loudest arena in the league.

Thanks for that Autograph. I really hope the Flames make this kind of event a regular thing and help it grow.

All I noticed was that Giordano was wearing a cast.

    Not good.

They said this is the first of many, plan on making it a huge event for the city for years to come.

I liked what I heard, I really love the way this organization is going and doing things like making 18/19 yr old rookies billet is fantastic, keep the kid on a leash and let him focus on hockey. Being a young, rich, star in the making athlete in a city that your bar age in is a recipe for disaster. And the community service stuff goes a long way to making us one of the more respected organizations in the league.. Also nice to hear that the players really like Feaster

Thanks for posting this. Good stuff.

I've always enjoyed Burke interviews. Even more so now that he's here.

If Rob Kerr doesn't yell "WHERE IS IT" at least once, I'm not watching.

Backlund played with a cast on his foot (I think last year maybe the year before). Its promising that he can walk on it.

I've actually always been a fan of his interviews, and simply listening to him talk hockey, his play-by-play is just bad haha.

This. His interviews and the like are much better than his PBP work.

He is a Flame fan and it shows during games he gets over excited and forgets what he is suppose to be doing. During interviews he seems very humble and appreciates who he is talking to.

Atleast he isn't Roger Millions

Having been to any game in the last 4 years... total BS.

    It's typical fan-fare crap.

    - Flames have the loudest fans
    - Flames have the best fans
    - Flames have the best Alumni
    - Best city in the world
    - most involved players

    blah blah blah.

I like hearing about the prospects and his direction, but that fan-fare crap drives me mental.

    The bolded are all true.

We were pretty damn loud during 04. Give us something to cheer about, and we will cheer. Give us something boo about, and we usually just go silent. Not alot of booing or "You suck" chants here in Calgary. We just sit there pissed in silence. Also the acoustics in the Dome are awful. Many bands refuse to play here for that reason.

Calgary does have excellent Alumni. Especially Lanny, he might be the most active former NHLer in the communities.

I wonder why Kerr brought up Jankowski and JG, but no mention of Poirer? Right now, our top prospect has to be Poirer the way he's playing

Seemed like he was trying to get their opinion on the college guys imo.

I would love it if Kerr did these kind of things, interviews, flames today, flames specials, etc.. And switched jobs with Loubardious :), he seems like he would be a better color guy than play by play.

Its funny how Loubardious is missed now that Kerr has spent some time behind the booth. Honestly, its Simmons that needs to go. Again, he's just so boring and typical.

Id like to see Loubardious AND kerr. Those two would make the most outrageous commentary in the league

Burke said in this interview as well as other ones that most GM's thought we had the best draft.
