I've always heard people say that old time hockey writers used to paint a more vivid picture as compared to their modern counterparts. I'm very interested in reading some of these articles, but so far I haven't been able to assemble the right set of search terms to give me any results. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Who are the godfathers so to speak of hockey reporting and journalism? Is there anyone around today that still writes in that old style?
