Hockey in season training

How do you guys (competitive level or not) like to train in season? Do you do all you r regular work outs including sprints, plyos, heavy weight strength etc? Do you work out the day before a game? A lighter workout the day before? I know guys who will do heavy deadlifts the day before a game because it "wakes up" their legs. Others feel like s*** if they even do some light sprints and plyos the day before.

Can be tough to get in good off ice work outs in season as you get older as recovery isn't as efficient and rest and recovery are important. But definitely a strong off ice program during the season is important to maintain strength (weight) etc.
